Yiddish Club
The Yiddish Club meets one evening a month during autumn, winter, and spring.
The meetings provide a place to hear Yiddish literary selections and articles, jokes, poetry, songs, and view Yiddish movies. People read and review books and articles brought to the meetings by members.
Of course the meetings are a friendly place to make friends and to speak to others in Yiddish.
The Yiddish Club has a dinner party meeting, a Hanukkah party and a trip to the Folksbiene Yiddish Theater every year. Light refreshments are served at the meetings. Modest yearly dues are requested of each person or couple.
The Yiddish Club also benefits from the excellent materials that are received from being an active part of the International Association of Yiddish Clubs.
For information about the meetings contact Gregg Hudis at GrHudis@optonline.net. Gregg is also a zamler or local compiler, for the National Yiddish Book Center.
